Description
The City of Oakland Department of Transportation seeks a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive scheduled and on-call maintenance services for city-owned bus shelters and associated transit amenities throughout Oakland. The scope includes cleaning, graffiti and sticker removal, litter and biological-waste removal and disposal, pressure washing, minor repairs, painting, lighting inspections and replacement bulbs, inspections, hazard reporting, and optional temporary or permanent shelter removal, relocation, replacement, and restoration of affected public rights-of-way. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, vehicles, tools, transportation, permits, and incidentals; prepare a City-approved biweekly cleaning and pressure-washing schedule; respond to call-out requests within specified timeframes; and maintain an electronic work-order or asset-management system with real-time updates, photographs, location data, and reporting capabilities. The anticipated term is two years, with two additional one-year extension options. Proposers must demonstrate at least three years of relevant experience and comply with the City's 50% Local/Small Local Business Enterprise participation requirement. Required proposal components include a transmittal letter, project team and personnel information, relevant experience, project approach and organization, references, billing rates, and specified City schedules and compliance forms.
