Description
The City of Rome, Georgia, through its Rome Transit Department, is soliciting sealed bids for a three-year uniform rental and garment management contract, with up to two additional one-year renewal periods. The contractor must provide breathable performance polo shirts and black workwear pants and shorts, apply the department logo, support employee fittings and sizing, deliver initial and replacement inventory, manage wearer records, and provide an account representative and escalation process. The initial uniform inventory must be delivered by December 4, 2026, for a January 4, 2027 rollout. The scope includes standard size exchanges, repairs and replacements for normal wear, delivery of new-hire and replacement garments, inventory reporting, and all-inclusive pricing. The City expressly does not require laundering, cleaning, or routine weekly garment pickup and delivery; employees will launder their own garments. Bidders must provide a completed pricing schedule, required affidavits and certifications, at least three similar-contract references, and any requested garment samples or product literature. Award is intended for the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on total evaluated annual cost.
