Description
The Seattle Housing Authority is seeking two or more service providers to supply, install, maintain, and remove commercial washing machines and dryers at approximately 95 housing properties. The scope includes new, unused, energy-efficient and ADA-accessible equipment; coin-operated and optional card-based payment systems; equipment connection to existing utilities; machine counters; signage; equipment replacement coordination; and removal of existing equipment. The selected providers must provide 24/7 equipment service, repair or replace equipment within 72 hours of notification, clean lint filters and dryer vents, maintain laundry rooms, process tenant refunds, collect and report revenue, and pay SHA a negotiated percentage of gross income. Proposals are limited to 10 pages, excluding specified items such as the cover letter, vendor fact sheet, resumes, suspension and debarment certificate, and applicable Section 3 forms. The contract is for one year, with up to four additional one-year extensions, for a maximum term of five years; SHA expects to award two or more contracts with properties divided among the selected vendors.
