Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a small-business contractor to perform 38 National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) Type VE inspections on unfired pressure vessels at Lackland, Fort Sam Houston, and Randolph installations within Joint Base San Antonio. The work includes internal and external inspections, ultrasonic thickness testing of pressure shells, all required labor, materials, services, transportation, and compliance with AFI 32-1068 and the NBIC/ASME requirements. The contractor must provide NBIC-certified inspection personnel, a quality control plan, a detailed technical approach, a timeline and preliminary work schedule, and AF Form 1222 documentation for each inspection. The period of performance is 60 calendar days, with inspections performed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; the contractor must also notify the Government promptly of unsafe conditions or serious defects.
