Description
Caltrans is soliciting up to two contractors under a multiple-provider agreement to perform on-call and as-needed positive location of underground utility facilities. The scope includes vacuum and hand excavation, probing, dip measurements, electronic detection, ground-penetrating radar, utility mark-outs, CCTV inspections, two-dimensional utility mapping, backfilling and surface restoration, traffic control, permits, equipment, materials, travel, and related incidentals. Utilities may include petroleum, telecommunications, gas, electric, water, and sewer facilities. Bidders must hold a current California Class A or C-12 contractor license; traffic-control subcontractors must hold a C-31 license. The work is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, a 3% DVBE participation requirement, and applicable small-business preferences. The agreement is estimated to run from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2029, subject to approval and notice to proceed. Bids must include the specified bid proposal, certifications, subcontractor declarations and quotes, and required statutory certifications.
