Description
Orange Water and Sewer Authority is soliciting sealed bids for a unit-price general construction contract to complete gravity sewer creek crossing upgrades. The work includes approximately 223 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water pipe, 211 linear feet of 12-inch PVC gravity sewer, and 87 linear feet of 18-inch stainless steel gravity sewer, along with valve assemblies, connections to existing mains, pressure and disinfection testing, fittings, sanitary sewer manholes, stream and crossing stabilization, erosion control, and related appurtenances. Bidders and subcontractors must hold valid North Carolina general contractor's licenses appropriate for the type and value of work. The project requires substantial completion within 90 consecutive calendar days and final completion within 120 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A 5% bid deposit or bid bond is required, and a non-collusion affidavit must be submitted. Bidders must also notify the engineer of their intent to prepare a bid to receive addenda and other notices.
