Description
The City of La Habra is soliciting bids for construction improvements at Vin Scully Park, including mobilization, storm-water best management practices, design and procurement of shade-structure equipment, wet-stamped engineering drawings and structural calculations, permits, and installation. The project includes nine 20-by-20-foot pre-engineered cantilever umbrella shade structures and one pre-engineered multi-sail cluster shade structure consisting of seven sails and eight columns. Shade fabrics must be fire-retardant, rust-protected, and water-resistant, and equivalent manufacturers may be proposed subject to approval. The work also includes concrete footings designed for landfill conditions, restoration of affected landscaping, irrigation relocation as needed, temporary six-foot chain-link fencing with fabric screening and a swing gate, site protection, cleanup, and related construction-drawing requirements. A Class A California contractor's license, prevailing-wage compliance, a 10% bid guarantee, and 100% payment and performance bonds are required. The stated completion period is 30 working days from the Notice to Proceed.
