Description
The County of Orange Sheriff-Coroner is soliciting a contractor to provide as-needed inspection, testing, cleaning, corrective maintenance, repair, replacement, sealing, insulation, calibration, documentation, and related services for HVAC supply, return, and exhaust ducting and components. The scope includes ductwork, fittings, dampers, access panels, air distribution outlets, insulation, sealants, filters, variable air volume boxes, smoke detectors, UV lights, air purifiers, and related specialty components. With County approval, the contractor may also provide engineering, design, fabrication, software or firmware maintenance, and installation services. Services will be performed at various secured County facilities throughout Orange County and include routine scheduled work, planned corrective maintenance, and 24-hour emergency response. Emergency requests require a response within one hour and a qualified technician on site within four hours. The contractor must hold a valid California C-20 Warm-Air, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning Contractor license, provide qualified and background-cleared personnel, and obtain prior written approval before subcontracting. The contract is a usage-based arrangement with hourly labor rates and reimbursable materials, equipment rentals, and permit fees.
