Description
The Town of Fairfield, through its Water Pollution Control Utility, is soliciting competitive bids for Phase 6 Sewer System Rehabilitation. The work includes sewer pipe cleaning, closed-circuit television inspection, cured-in-place pipe lining for multiple pipe diameters, sewer main joint testing and sealing, point repairs, lateral trimming and reinstatement, traffic control, temporary sewer bypass pumping, and related mobilization and heavy cleaning. The bid schedule includes specified estimated quantities for CIPP lining and CCTV inspection, along with allowances for police officers, bypass pumping, and heavy cleaning. Bidders must submit the completed bid form, proposed subcontractor information, proposed supplier list, state contractor's license evidence, references for recent similar projects, and applicable exceptions documentation. A bid bond equal to 5% of the total estimated bid is required; small businesses may alternatively provide an irrevocable letter of credit or cashier's check. Payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the award are required after award. The project is subject to Connecticut prevailing-wage requirements and the stated insurance requirements, which include general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, umbrella/excess liability, professional/errors and omissions, completed operations, and pollution liability coverage.
