The Mississippi Department of Public Safety, through the Mississippi State Forensics Laboratory, is seeking professional services to provide trained forensic scientists, enhance laboratory operations, build capacity, and reduce case backlogs. The scope includes staffing for firearms analysis and controlled-substance chemistry, operational assessment and process improvement, and related forensic, biometrics, and identity intelligence support. Services must be provided on site during the laboratory's business hours. The notice is a proposed sole-source procurement identifying SNA International, LLC as the only vendor believed capable of meeting the requirements. The estimated three-year compensation is $2,521,382.40, with five forensic scientists supporting the laboratory across the stated disciplines.
