Description
The City of Helotes is requesting qualifications from veterinary clinics to provide professional services for domesticated and feral dogs and cats. The scope includes animal care, food, water, lodging, medical treatment, rabies control, state-approved quarantine boarding, rabies testing support, vaccinations, examinations, spay and neuter services, sedation, microchipping, euthanasia, and emergency treatment. The selected clinic must provide a fee schedule and maintain capacity to board at least three dogs and three cats at any given time. The clinic must have at least one licensed veterinarian, at least one certified euthanasia technician, and a quarantine facility meeting Texas standards. Additional responsibilities include annual inspection of the City's animal-control shelter, participation in three annual advisory committee meetings, and assistance with animal-care policies and procedures. Qualifications must address the firm's experience, assigned team, proposed services, references, insurance, subcontracting, compensation preferences, and recommended contract terms.
