Description

The 433rd Airlift Wing requires commercial lodging (CL) accommodations for its reserve personnel and other individuals participating in or supporting weekend Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs), Rescheduled Unit Training Assemblies (RUTAs), Inactive Duty Training (IDT), and Active Duty (AD) status. These accommodations may be needed any day of the week. The preferred lodging facilities should be located within 15 miles of Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Lackland and ideally possess a current Memorandum of Understanding with JBSA-Lackland Lodging. The lodging requirements include a maximum of 50 double occupancy rooms and 25 single occupancy rooms per UTA, with the possibility of substituting single rooms for double rooms at no additional cost if doubles are unavailable. Rooms must be equipped with cooling, heating, adequate ventilation, a private bath, a color television, dresser space, and an alarm clock. Double rooms require at least two full-sized beds, and single rooms require at least one queen-sized bed, all with necessary linens. All rooms must be non-smoking. Daily maid service is required, including replenishment of towels, vacuuming, cleaning of bathrooms, and restocking of soap and drinking glasses. Urgent requests for housekeeping supplies must be fulfilled promptly. Bed linens are to be changed at least weekly or upon guest checkout. Room rates will be billed on a per-room basis, with direct-billed charges being tax-free and individual charges taxable. The government and contractor will agree upon an initial price list, which will be reviewed and potentially updated annually. The contractor cannot terminate reservations to accommodate private customers at higher rates. Front desk services must be available 24 hours a day for check-in/check-out, with a guaranteed late arrival policy. Normal check-in time should be 3:00 PM or earlier. Express check-out is not authorized for military members; they must complete checkout procedures at the front desk. Payment for personal charges is the responsibility of the individual member. Reservations for multiple tours will be considered a single reservation, and members should not be moved between rooms or required to check out and back in. The 433rd Airlift Wing will pay for IDT (UTA/RUTA) status via government purchase card, while Active Duty or Annual Training members will pay via Government Travel Credit Card. Cancellations will be accepted up to 6:00 PM on the day of arrival without charge. No-shows beyond 6:00 PM without cancellation may be billed for one night. Properties must comply with the Hotel and Motel Fire and Safety Act, be listed on the FEMA Master list, adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act, and meet AFOSH 91-001 safety standards. Secure, lighted, and well-maintained parking facilities are required. Establishments without a current Memorandum of Understanding must undergo inspection by base personnel. Billing requires a fully itemized invoice with copies of room folios, signed vouchers, and/or registration cards submitted by the 10th of the following month. The government will validate charges upon receipt of all required documentation.
