Description
Lee County Animal Services intends to purchase IDEXX SNAP in-house animal health testing kits through a sole-source procurement from IDEXX Distribution Inc. The kits are used for blood testing for heartworm disease, feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, parvovirus, giardia, and tick-borne illnesses in shelter animals. The procurement also references outside reference laboratory testing to confirm in-house results and test for other conditions. IDEXX Distribution Inc. is identified as the sole source because IDEXX is the only manufacturer of the proprietary SNAP testing mechanism.
