Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a qualified veterinary organization to provide comprehensive veterinary services for registered and non-registered cattle owned by the Kentucky Department of Corrections at Northpoint Farm. The scope includes onsite and office farm calls; examination and treatment of sick, diseased, injured, or non-performing livestock; surgical procedures; routine pregnancy examinations; prescription authorization and administration; laboratory and diagnostic testing, including testing for Johnes disease and Anaplasmosis; necropsy services; herd-health consulting; Brucellosis vaccinations; health certificates; and assistance with synchronization and artificial insemination of breeding stock. The Commonwealth does not anticipate more than 100 cattle at any point. The technical proposal must include a copy of the offeror's Kentucky veterinary license and years of experience. The cost proposal must provide an all-inclusive hourly rate covering veterinary services, travel, visits, and administration of medicines. Proposals will be submitted electronically through the Kentucky Vendor Self Service System in separate Technical, Cost, and, if applicable, Proprietary documents. The initial contract term is anticipated to run from October 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028, with up to two additional two-year renewal periods.
