Description
The Irvine Ranch Water District is seeking a contractor for comprehensive HVAC upgrades at its Sand Canyon Headquarters and Operations Center. The work includes replacing existing chillers, boilers, pumps, piping, valves, controls, control wiring, and associated electrical equipment; removing the ice bank systems and ethylene glycol; retrofitting VAV boxes with new heating coils and controls; replacing the existing HVAC control system with a Delta Controls or Carrier Controls system; modifying equipment pads and motor-control equipment; and providing temporary chillers, boilers, generators, and related appurtenances during construction. The scope also includes testing, startup, commissioning, system balancing, hazardous-material handling and disposal, equipment service manuals, and record drawings. The estimated bid value is $5,750,000, with a 640-calendar-day contract duration from the Notice of Award. The opportunity is restricted to prequalified bidders on the Project Bidders List and registered California public-works contractors. Electronic bids must be submitted as a compiled single document through the PlanetBids portal, while the bid security declaration and bid security must be delivered separately in a sealed envelope before bid opening.
