Description
The University of Connecticut is soliciting subcontractor bids for Phase 2 of the University Second Electrical Feed project at its Storrs campus. The project will establish a new 38E connection to the Eversource 900 line to increase imported and campus-based electrical power capacity in support of the campus Master Plan. The total estimated project value is approximately $15 million. The opportunity is an invitation to bid with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and walkthrough. Bids are due through BuildingConnected, and the project is anticipated to begin in September 2026. Existing requirements include applicable bid bonds, payment and performance bonds, Connecticut Department of Administrative Services prequalification for specified packages, Good Faith Efforts Plan compliance, applicable spending allocation goals, and Connecticut CHRO requirements.
