Description
Lansing Board of Water & Light is seeking a contractor to furnish and maintain containers for solid, non-hazardous waste and comingled recyclable materials at various BWL facilities in the greater Lansing area. The contractor must provide regularly scheduled and as-needed pickups, transport materials in contractor-owned and identifiable vehicles, and dispose of or recycle the materials at destination facilities identified in the proposal. Third-party transporters are not permitted. Services include emergency response and cleanup for spills or releases caused by the contractor, 24-hour emergency availability, monthly invoicing, disposal records retained for at least three years, and monthly and annual reporting. The proposal must include location-based pricing for trash, recycling, as-needed pickups, and rejected loads; destination-facility information; a contractor single point of contact; emergency response procedures; a container-use policy; safety data; at least three similar-work references; subcontractor information; and responses to the required electronic bid attributes. The buyer may award the trash and recycling services together or split them among multiple bidders.
