Description
Port San Luis Harbor District is seeking a multidisciplinary consulting team to prepare a Boating Access and Facilities Needs Assessment and Conceptual Plan. The work includes evaluating existing and potential boating demand, assessing current facilities and services, identifying underserved market segments, and translating demand into facility and service needs. The scope includes existing-conditions review, boating market and demand analysis, facility gap analysis, metocean and marine-facility feasibility assessment, conceptual alternatives, planning-level cost estimates, prioritization, implementation and funding strategy, and draft and final reports. Relevant expertise includes harbor and marina planning, coastal and marine engineering, metocean analysis, conceptual marine facility design, wave attenuation, California coastal and environmental permitting, and public-sector waterfront planning. Proposals should include the team's understanding, methodology, firm and team qualifications, comparable experience, work plan and schedule, at least three references, conflict-of-interest information, and a not-to-exceed cost proposal. The anticipated project budget is $100,000 to $150,000, and the study is anticipated to take approximately six to nine months following notice to proceed.
