Description
Johnston County Public Schools is seeking Statements of Qualifications from building automation system (BAS) contractors for new installations and for replacement, expansion, and integration of existing systems across new construction, renovation, mechanical/electrical/plumbing upgrades, and control changeout projects. The district intends to use Tridium-based systems where feasible and seeks to standardize platforms, hardware, interfaces, programming, and operating practices. Anticipated work includes furnishing and installing controllers, sensors, wiring, networks, programming, startup, commissioning, and related services, in coordination with the district’s Master Systems Integrator. Respondents must demonstrate at least five years of relevant platform experience and provide evidence of successful comparable projects, including projects involving third-party systems integrators. Minimum qualifications also include factory authorization, Tridium systems integrator certification, specified certified staffing, an in-house service department, local full-time staff, and current North Carolina heating and electrical licenses. The response is limited to 10 pages excluding attachments and must include a Statement of Qualifications addressing the selection criteria, one past-project example each of a BAS performance review or functional verification summary and an issues/service-request log with resolution tracking, and applicable requested disclosures. Selection is based on past performance, BAS expertise, team and technical depth, proximity and local familiarity, and interview performance; selected vendors may subsequently bid on qualifying projects, but selection does not guarantee project awards.
