Description
The Town seeks a general contractor to expand and renovate an existing public restroom facility under a fixed-price contract. Work includes demolition and construction, concrete, framing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, siding, finishes, and related trades. The contractor must provide a temporary accessible restroom trailer for public use during construction and coordinate its placement and servicing with the Town. The project is in an active public park, so the contractor must coordinate work around scheduled events and minimize disruption. Proposals must include the completed bid sheet, a project schedule not exceeding 120 days from Notice to Proceed, a signed signatory sheet, the required business and contractor license documentation or commitment, firm profile and experience information, three project references, and a bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid. The Town evaluates experience, references, local-vendor preference, and pricing and schedule. Payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the base bid, are required from the successful proposer after notice of award.
