Description
Colorado Mesa University is seeking a third-party contractor to manage and operate the Hamilton Recreation Center and related in-scope recreation spaces. Responsibilities include facility operations, staffing and supervision, student-worker integration, memberships and access control, customer service, fitness and wellness programming, personal training, retail opportunities, scheduling, billing, reporting, marketing coordination, routine equipment cleaning, preventive equipment maintenance, repairs, parts, equipment replacement, and management of the contractor's own financials, personnel, software, licensing, and hardware. The contractor will recruit, employ, train, supervise, and compensate its personnel, while CMU remains responsible for overall building maintenance and custodial services. The selected vendor must maintain separate financial operations and comply with CMU marketing and communication standards. The facility includes the Campus Recreation Center and Foster Fieldhouse spaces, with fitness equipment, gymnasium and court areas, an indoor track, and related recreation amenities. The climbing wall, aquatic programming, intramural sports, club sports, and custodial services are outside the solicitation scope. Proposals are limited to 10 single-sided pages, excluding appendix submissions, and should address the vendor's company background, team, operational approach, financial proposal, references, and innovation. The anticipated operational start date is January 1, 2027, although the date is negotiable.
