Description
The Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division, is soliciting a contractor to restore roadside safety along South Rim Drive after wildfire damage. Work includes removing existing guardrail and boulders, minor grading and shoulder stabilization, post-hole excavation, supplying and installing approximately 4,275 linear feet of steel guardrail with weathered-look treatment, installing MASH Test Level 2 terminals, and providing temporary traffic control with lane closures and flagging. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, quality control, construction scheduling, erosion and stormwater controls, and required technical documentation. The solicitation requests a completed SF-1442, bid schedule, partnering indication, required representations and certifications, technical approach, and relevant experience. The estimated project value is $700,000 to $2,000,000, and the work is subject to a total small-business set-aside, Buy American requirements, federal construction wage requirements, bid security, and performance and payment bonds.
