Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is soliciting proposals from small businesses for the East Canal Efficiency Improvements project in the Uncompahgre Project. The firm-fixed-price construction work includes furnishing and installing approximately 4,202 linear feet of 36-inch HDPE diversion pipeline, two parallel 54-inch HDPE siphon pipes totaling approximately 340 linear feet, and 48-inch and 42-inch polypropylene profile-wall pipe. Work also includes excavation, clearing and grubbing, dewatering, removal and disposal of existing features, earthwork, riprap, gravel surfacing, seeding, PVC pipe, valves, canal gates, slide gates, air vents, drains, flow-measuring equipment, and related appurtenances. The project requires construction and modification of concrete diversion, outlet, spillway, siphon, ramp-flume, and check structures, as well as fabrication and installation of guardrails, trash racks, grating, safety cable, and other miscellaneous metalwork. The estimated project magnitude is $5 million to $10 million, and the procurement is a total small-business set-aside conducted under FAR Part 15. Proposals must address technical approach, construction schedule, project team composition, past performance, and pricing. The period of performance is January 25, 2027, through November 1, 2028, with substantial completion required by April 1, 2028.
