Description
The City of Tucson is requesting proposals for new and quality used commercial-grade fitness equipment, preventative maintenance, and on-call repair services for equipment across its Parks and Recreation, Police, and Fire Departments. The scope includes strength-training and cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary and recumbent bikes, stair climbers, rowers, cable systems, benches, racks, and multi-station machines. The contractor must provide skilled technicians, parts, labor, vehicles, diagnostics, repairs, manufacturer-compliant maintenance, detailed maintenance schedules and checklists, and repair estimates before authorized work. New equipment must include delivery, assembly, installation, removal of replaced equipment when applicable, product specifications, warranties, service options, and delivery timelines; offered equipment must receive at least a 15% discount from current manufacturer retail or catalog pricing. Preventative maintenance is scheduled quarterly for Parks and Recreation and Police locations and every four months for Fire Department locations. Personnel working at Tucson Police Department facilities must successfully complete the required background investigation before performing work.
