Description
The Town of Frederick Arts Committee is seeking an artist to create and install a bright, vibrant, inclusive public mural at the Town of Frederick Engineering Building. The mural area is approximately 80.5 feet long by 11 feet high and should present an original, primarily picture-based design reflecting Frederick’s mining heritage, community traditions, local landmarks, natural surroundings, and future. Designs must be suitable for full-scale reproduction, avoid prohibited content and protected logos or imagery, and receive an anti-graffiti coating approved by the Town. The selected artist must provide the labor and materials necessary for installation during December 2026, unless otherwise specified by the Town. Submissions must include artist or company information, contact details, a to-scale mural rendering or mockup, and examples of previous artwork. Artists under 18 must include parental consent. The total project compensation is $19,000, inclusive of artist fees, artwork, installation, and associated project costs.
