Description
Ocean County is soliciting bids from qualified marine service vendors to fully repower and upfit two county-owned 23-foot pumpout boats. The work includes removing and disposing of the existing outboard engines; furnishing and installing new Yamaha, Mercury Verado, or equal four-stroke gasoline outboard motors meeting or exceeding 250 horsepower and 4.2-liter displacement; and providing stainless-steel propellers, including one spare per engine. The contractor must also install new digital engine-rigging components, replace fuel-system hoses and water separators, provide six ignition keys per engine, and ensure all components are new and compliant with current EPA fuel-system standards. Subcontractors must be identified in the bid and, if used, must be OEM-authorized; OEM certification documentation is required for each subcontractor. Parts and materials must be accepted within four months of the purchase order, and installation must be completed within 30 calendar days after vessel delivery to the contractor. The completed boats must be delivered to Seaside Park Municipal Marina for inspection and sea trials.
