Description
San Benito County’s Sheriff’s Office seeks a contractor to provide secure, as-needed inmate transportation within California and across state lines, between jails, prisons, medical facilities, and other County-designated locations. The scope also includes security during hospital and medical appointments. The contractor must provide trained and cleared personnel, secure vehicles, equipment, dispatch coordination, backup capacity, and required custody-transfer and incident documentation. The County does not guarantee a minimum volume of work or expenditure. Proposals must describe the service approach, staffing, dispatch and emergency response, service area, vehicles, medical accommodations, implementation plan, and relevant experience. The response must include at least three comparable client references, required reference forms, a separate fee proposal with rates and totals for three sample scenarios, contract exceptions if any, and the required disclosures and certifications. The proposed initial term is two years, with two optional one-year extensions. The contract has a $50,000 per-fiscal-year monetary limit; actual work and payment depend on authorization and available funding.
