Description
Santa Clara Valley Water District is soliciting bids for localized repairs at three canal wall areas. The work includes sawcutting and removing damaged shotcrete, preparing substrates, installing approximately 2,750 square feet of 3-inch-by-3-inch welded wire mesh, and placing approximately 26.6 cubic yards of 4,000-psi wet-mix shotcrete at a nominal 3-inch thickness with a broom finish. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, access controls, environmental protection, cleanup, disposal, curing, documentation, and restoration. The canal will be dry during construction, and the contractor must install straw wattles, provide a temporary rain bypass, maintain access over a 10- to 12-foot dirt maintenance road, and suspend work during unsafe weather or site conditions. The bid requires a valid California Class C-8 contractor's license, a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit, an electronic bid through PlanetBids, and a verified electronic bid bond. The contract schedule provides for substantial completion 30 days after the notice to proceed and final completion 45 days after the notice to proceed, with a desired completion date of December 31, 2026.
