Description
The Santa Clara Valley Water District is soliciting electronic bids for construction of the Coyote Percolation Dam Phase 2 project. The work includes site preparation, demolition, dewatering and diversion, construction of an approximately 500-foot fish passage lane using engineered streambed materials, a separation berm with clay composite liner, grade-control structures, channel improvements, and a spillway. The contractor must also modify the existing fish ladder, replace an existing radial gate with a new crest gate and associated structural, mechanical, and electrical components, construct a receiving pool and flow transition chute, install a float-activated drain system, and complete final grading, stabilization, revegetation, testing, commissioning, and closeout. This is a lump-sum construction procurement with an estimated value of $7.5 million to $9 million and a 724-calendar-day completion period. The bidder must hold a current Class A California contractor's license, attend the mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting, submit the electronic proposal through PlanetBids, provide a verified 10% electronic Bidder's Bond, and comply with the 30% Small Business Enterprise participation goal or applicable good-faith-effort requirements. Payment and performance bonds of 100% of the Contract Sum are required after award.
