Description
Adams County is issuing an Invitation for Bid for replacement of the Colorado Air and Space Port fuel farm. The project includes removal of three existing underground storage tanks—two 15,000-gallon Jet-A tanks and one 20,000-gallon 100LL tank—and installation of four UL 2085 above-ground tanks: two 15,000-gallon Jet-A tanks, one 20,000-gallon 100LL tank, and one 12,000-gallon 100UL tank. The contractor must provide all fuel-system equipment and construction, including pumps, filter separators, metering for fuel entering and leaving the tanks, inventory-management and electronic-control systems, overfill prevention, static-relaxation vessels, piping, concrete pavement and containment, fencing, lighting, electrical and drainage improvements, testing, commissioning, and related site work. All items shown on sheet F11.01 are contractor-procured. Prevailing wages apply. The project is locally funded; the County will provide the successful bidder with a tax-exempt certificate for material purchases. Long-lead equipment deposits or advance payments may be billable before delivery when supported by manufacturer documentation, and retainage is 5%.
