Description
The Utah Department of Transportation seeks a construction manager/general contractor for a two-phase project to relocate the Jordan Valley Aqueduct. Phase I includes preconstruction management, constructability and design support, schedule and cost development, risk management, coordination with utilities and stakeholders, and early procurement of long-lead materials. If Phase I performance and price negotiations are acceptable, the selected contractor may receive separate Phase II construction work. The construction scope includes approximately 6,800 linear feet of new 66-inch welded steel pipeline, trenchless crossings, relocation of aqueduct vaults and related structures, new 30-inch piping for a turnout vault, cathodic protection work, tie-ins, traffic control, and restoration. The solicitation requires the prime contractor to perform at least 60% of the work in each phase. The total project funding is stated as $50 million, inclusive of preconstruction, design, construction, and other project costs.
