Description
The project involves constructing Phase 1 public improvements for a subdivision. Work includes grading and earthwork; concrete streets, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and ADA curb ramps; storm sewer and a detention basin; sanitary sewer and water main extensions and connections; utility crossing conduits; erosion and sediment controls; seeding; and site restoration. The work must follow the project plans and specifications prepared by Austin Engineering Co., Inc. Bidders must obtain the complete bidding documents from the Owner and be listed on the Owner’s plan holders list. A preliminary construction schedule is required with the bid. The selected contractor must comply with Illinois prevailing-wage requirements and furnish performance, payment, and maintenance bonds after award. The City intends to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, considering price and other stated responsibility factors.
