Description
This construction project replaces the existing deaerator tank and condensate surge tank, associated pumps, and package controls. Work also includes replacing pneumatic controls and control valves serving unit heaters with standalone direct digital controls, integrating the new equipment with the existing boiler and building management systems, and associated piping, electrical, water-treatment, testing, and commissioning work. The construction cost estimate is $699,000. Bids are limited to contractors prequalified for the applicable mechanical discipline. A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid is required with the submission. A mandatory meeting is required for prime contractors wishing to bid. The subcontractor list is due by email the day after the bid deadline; performance and payment bonds and the health insurance compliance form are post-award requirements when applicable.
