Description
The Department of the Interior’s Interior Business Center is soliciting one fully contractor-operated and maintained Type I helicopter for exclusive-use flight services supporting U.S. Wildland Fire Service fire and natural resource missions. The contractor must provide the aircraft, qualified flight crew and relief crew, mechanics, fuel and associated equipment. Missions include fire suppression, monitoring, initial attack, prescribed fire, aerial ignition, reconnaissance, external-load work, and related resource activities. The aircraft will be based in Boise, Idaho, and may be dispatched throughout the contiguous United States and Alaska. The contract is a single-award IDIQ with a five-year ordering period. The annual exclusive-use period is 150 days, with possible extensions. The solicitation requires a heavy helicopter meeting detailed capacity, performance, equipment, avionics, safety, and maintenance specifications. Offers must include five volumes covering the signed offer and pricing, aircraft technical capability, capability narrative, organizational safety, and past performance.
