Description
The Idaho Division of Public Works is requesting qualifications from a licensed design professional and consultants for the modernization of two passenger elevators and one service elevator at the Joe R. Williams building in Boise. The work includes evaluation of existing conditions and design for elevator cars, shafts, controls, electrical and mechanical systems, lighting, interior finishes, lobby call stations, code compliance, accessibility, life safety, energy efficiency, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout. The occupied building will require phased construction that maintains safe access and circulation. The design team must coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction, utilities, DPW, the agency, and any CM/GC, and must provide cost estimates, schedules, phase submittals, presentations, and project documentation through the owner's web-based project management system. The total project budget is $1,300,000, including fees, reimbursables, contingencies, testing, and other project-related expenses; the estimated construction budget is $1,027,000. Respondents must submit a statement of qualifications addressing the required cover sheet, general qualifications, team-member qualifications, four relevant completed project examples from the last five years, and a technical approach. The submission requires five printed copies and two USB drives containing a PDF. The successful firm must accept the standard professional services agreement and maintain at least $1,000,000 in professional liability insurance.
