Description
The District seeks an operator to provide emergency backup transportation for passengers with disabilities when ferry service between Larkspur and San Francisco is inaccessible. The contractor must provide two ADA-accessible vehicles and drivers, with one vehicle staged at each terminal during weekday operating hours, and be prepared to begin service on short notice. Service is on-call, with trips between the terminals as needed; the contractor supplies vehicles, staffing, maintenance, fuel, dispatch, passenger assistance, and related operating resources. The proposal must include a cover letter, qualifications and experience, an approach to the scope, financial stability information, three recent references, and the required forms and supporting materials. The contract has a three-year base term with up to two one-year options, no guaranteed hours, and a maximum compensation of $250,000. A 10% evaluation preference is available to proposers declaring they will retain qualified employees of the prior contractor for at least 90 days; there is no contract-specific DBE or SBE goal.
