Description
The Idaho Division of Public Works is requesting qualifications for design professional services for modernization of two passenger elevators and one service elevator at the Len B. Jordan Building. The work includes upgrades to the elevator cars, shafts, controls, electrical and mechanical systems, lighting, and interior and exterior finishes, while reusing the existing hoistway, rails, and structure. The project requires a phased approach in an occupied building, compliance with current building, life-safety, accessibility, and elevator codes, energy-efficiency improvements, cost estimating and control, authority approvals, bidding support, construction administration, and project closeout. The selected design professional must provide schematic design through closeout, monthly progress meetings, project scheduling, presentations, and document uploads to Projectmates, and must accept the Division of Public Works Professional Services Agreement without modification. The total project budget is $975,000, including fees, reimbursables, contingencies, testing, and related expenses; the estimated construction budget is $800,000. The Statement of Qualifications must address the firm's qualifications, assigned team members, four relevant projects completed within the last five years, technical approach, and required licenses and certificates. The successful firm must maintain at least $1,000,000 in professional liability insurance and identify an Idaho-licensed architect to supervise architectural services.
