The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is establishing an approved aviation service supplier eligibility list for short-term, call-when-needed aviation services. Qualified suppliers may provide helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, or remotely piloted aircraft systems for wildland fire suppression, crew movements, emergency operations, wildlife and enforcement programs, and related provincial activities. Suppliers must submit aircraft-specific rates, minimum charges, fuel rates, specialty-service and optional-equipment information, and pilot information. Eligibility requires applicable Transport Canada operating certificates and approvals, dangerous-goods certification, insurance documentation, aircraft tracking information, current pilot qualifications and training records, and other operational documentation. Services may involve remote locations, restricted airspace, aerial ignition, external loads, mapping or scanning, and other specialty operations. Submitted rates are to remain valid from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, and approved suppliers may be called upon through short-term contracts or flight authorizations.
