Description
The Massachusetts Port Authority is requesting proposals for operation of the Framingham Remote Terminal Bus Service between Boston Logan International Airport and the Authority’s remote terminal at 19 Flutie Pass, Framingham, Massachusetts. The operator must provide or procure a dedicated fleet of at least five motorcoach buses, labor, supervision, dispatch and management, drivers, ticketing and boarding support, baggage handling, cleaning, fueling, maintenance, emergency replacement capability, and return service between Logan Airport and the two Framingham facilities. The service includes secure, TSA-compliant transportation for screened passengers and baggage, scheduled service seven days per week, and additional service when passenger demand requires it. Proposals must address vehicle specifications, staffing, operating and maintenance plans, airport and security compliance, airline and TSA-related processing, fare collection, customer-facing technology replacement, fleet technology integration, and financial reconciliation. Vehicles must generally be model year 2023 or newer, wheelchair accessible, equipped with required passenger amenities and communications systems, and dedicated exclusively to the service. The contract has a one-year base term with two one-year extension options. The proposal is limited to 25 pages excluding exhibits and forms, and all required forms and supporting materials must be submitted electronically through Bid Express.
