Description
Barrow County seeks a qualified contractor to provide a turnkey recreational playground replacement at Victor Lord Park. The scope includes obtaining permits; designing and installing multi-age playground structures for children ages 2–5 and 5–12; providing slides, standard swings, an infant/toddler swing, and an ADA swing; installing plastic borders and engineered wood fiber surfacing; providing pedestrian connections; and incorporating wheelchair accessibility and play opportunities for all abilities. The contractor is responsible for verifying site conditions and complying with applicable state, federal, and local requirements. Equipment must be age-appropriate, properly signed, IPEMA-certified, compliant with ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Play Areas, and conform to current playground-related ASTM and CPSC standards. Installation must be performed by a factory-trained, insured, and certified installer. Proposals must provide a fixed lump-sum price, with the total project budget capped at $150,000.
