The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for rehabilitation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of Ezzard Street between Paper Mill Road and Shoal Creek. The work includes removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter; adjustment of curb grate inlets and sanitary sewer manholes; full-width milling to a depth of 3 inches; placement and compaction of 2 inches of Permaflex/OGI asphalt and a 1-inch 9.5 mm Superpave surface coat; thermoplastic centerline, edge-line, crosswalk, and stop-bar striping; traffic control; shoulder grading; erosion control; sodding; and permanent grassing. The City will perform tree removal, while the contractor must complete associated grading and stabilization. Georgia Department of Transportation specifications apply. The work must be completed within 45 consecutive calendar days from the written notice to proceed. Bidders must submit the City bidding forms, a 5% bid bond, a notarized Statement of Bidder's Qualifications with at least three similar projects completed within the past five years, and a Non-Collusion Affidavit. The successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and required insurance. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
