Description
Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the procurement of replacement double-offset butterfly valves, stems, stem supports, gearboxes, and accessories for the Lanier and Shoal Creek Filter Plants. The scope includes four 108-inch valves and one 108-inch valve at Lanier, 96-inch and 108-inch valves at Shoal Creek Clearwell No. 2, 96-inch and 54-inch valves at the Raw Water Equalization Tanks, and four 72-inch motor-operated valves on the Raw Water supply lines. Existing manual and electrical operators/actuators will be reused, with new gearboxes and any necessary extension stems supplied by the vendor. The successful supplier must complete the valve and component design, manufacture and assemble the equipment, provide shop drawings and technical data for approval, confirm compatibility with existing actuators, provide manufacturing and delivery schedules with monthly progress updates, supply specified spare parts and special tools, and deliver the equipment to the two filter plants. Installation, field testing, inspection, and manufacturer field services are excluded from this procurement. The bid must include manufacturer and product information, materials and dimensional data, design confirmation for one-sided water pressure, and applicable compliance certifications. Two hard copies and one searchable PDF copy of the operating and maintenance information are required. Award may be made by line item or for the overall low bid.
