Description

The City of Sidney seeks a contractor to furnish and plant trees at various public locations within the city. The scope includes purchasing healthy, properly labeled nursery stock; planting trees with specified caliper, root-ball preparation, staking, mulching, watering, and cleanup; repairing property damage; and providing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, machinery, and other necessary materials. Planting sites will be identified by the City, and partial-quantity quotes are acceptable. Trees must comply with the stated nursery-stock standards, be suitable for southwest Ohio conditions, and be selected from the permitted non-host Asian longhorned beetle species list or approved substitutions. A Certified Arborist must be on staff, and bidders seeking preference for specialized experience must document similar projects completed within the last two years with verifiable client references. The contract term is October 26, 2026, through December 1, 2026, with planting required to be complete by December 1, 2026; the trees are guaranteed through December 1, 2027. The bidder must be a member of the Ohio Green Industry Association. This federally assisted project includes Davis-Bacon wage requirements, federal labor and equal-opportunity provisions, domestic-preference requirements, insurance requirements, a 10% bid guaranty, and payment and performance security equal to 100% of the contract price. Bids must be submitted electronically through Bid Express with the listed certifications, affidavits, forms, and supporting documents.
