Description
The Alaska Railroad Corporation is seeking vendors to provide a range of equipment for rental on an as-needed, non-exclusive basis. The requested categories include earth movers and trucks, loaders, excavators and backhoes, dozers, graders, generators, lights and heaters, mobile work platforms, forklifts, light towers, and compactors. Bidders must provide daily, weekly, and monthly rates, and may submit a separate rate sheet with the requested information. Equipment may be picked up by the railroad or delivered to a designated point; anticipated delivery locations include Anchorage and Fairbanks, with other locations in its service area possible. The contract is for one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals at the railroad's option. Multiple awards may be made by equipment category or line item. The solicitation requires a completed Service Bid Form, Cost Schedule, Bidder's Questionnaire, and the applicable federal-aid contract provisions and certifications. The Bidder's Questionnaire also calls for a current Alaska business license when required and financial statements, with requirements varying by business type.
