Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting market research for the Lowell Creek Tunnel Refurbishment project in Seward, Alaska. This project involves repairs to a 2,100-foot tunnel that diverts Lowell Creek. Work includes removing loose concrete, replacing rails and concrete lining, repairing sidewalls and the invert, and filling gouges and penetrations. The project will likely occur in the winter to accommodate stream diversion. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000, with a firm-fixed-price contract type. Construction wage rates will apply. Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov and must be capable of acquiring 100% performance and payment bonds.
