Delta Diablo Sanitation District is soliciting a lump-sum bid to rehabilitate Digesters Nos. 1 and 3 at its wastewater treatment plant. The work includes cleaning and demolition; concrete repairs; interior and exterior coating repairs; replacement of process equipment, piping, valves, instrumentation, heat exchangers, sludge sampling systems, and related appurtenances; drainage improvements; bird netting replacement; electrical modifications; variable frequency drives; and associated testing, commissioning, and restoration. The project includes substantial mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and process-interconnection work in an operating wastewater treatment facility. The contract documents require compliance with a Project Labor Agreement, bid, payment, and performance bonds, and extensive submittals and quality-control procedures. The solicitation is a paper bid with a lump-sum award structure.
