Description
The Town of Narragansett is soliciting qualification statements from professional consulting engineering firms to establish a pool of prequalified consultants for future wastewater projects. Potential services include surveys, studies, planning, evaluation, rehabilitation, design, cost estimating, preparation of plans and specifications, bidding assistance, construction administration, resident engineering, inspection, reports, permit applications, public presentations, and construction support. The scope may include wastewater collection, conveyance, treatment, pump station, building and building-systems, flood mitigation, pretreatment and local limits, infiltration and inflow, asset management, funding and grant assistance, and related civil, environmental, structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and land-surveying services. Firms may submit qualifications for any combination of categories and may team with subcontractors. Engineering work must be performed by or under the supervision of a Rhode Island-licensed professional engineer, survey work by or under a Rhode Island-licensed professional land surveyor, and firms must have at least 15 years of relevant municipal or public-authority experience. The anticipated initial projects include Galilee Pump Station upgrades, Stanton Pump Station upgrades, and Scarborough wastewater treatment facility solids-handling improvements. The Town may select multiple consultants, with specific projects and detailed proposals to be addressed later.
