Allegany County Department of Public Works is soliciting sealed bids for multiple prime contracts for a new wastewater collection and treatment system. The work includes gravity sewer mains, manholes, pump stations, force mains using open-trench and directional-drilling methods, and related appurtenances. The project also includes a wastewater treatment attached-growth package plant with a new building, screening, primary treatment tanks, equalization/dosing pump tank, moving bed bioreactor system, aeration, secondary clarification, sludge pumping, sand filtration, ultraviolet disinfection, laboratory equipment, site work, and associated appurtenances. Separate contracts are identified for general construction, plumbing/mechanical construction, electrical construction, and site trades. New York State-certified minority- and women-owned business participation goals total 30%.
