Description
The Town of Aylmer is soliciting construction services for the Aylmer Lagoon Optimization Project, Intermittent Sand Filter Expansion, at its operating lagoon facility. The work includes excavation, grading, and installation of sixteen new intermittent sand filter beds; gravity sanitary sewer and forcemain installation; replacement of the granular access road; and removal and disposal of existing electrical and mechanical equipment. The project also includes new incoming power, distribution equipment, motor control centers, PLC and control systems, a pre-cast electrical/control building, two raw sewage pumps, and coordination of the electrical, mechanical, and pumping work. A pre-engineered fabric storage building is included as a provisional item. The contractor must construct and commission the facility while maintaining lagoon operations throughout the project.
