Description
The City of Wichita is soliciting bids for the solidification, treatment, transportation, and disposal of non-hazardous liquid waste generated by City and joint City/County agencies in Sedgwick County. The contractor must provide a disposal facility within Wichita city limits, containment and high-pressure cleaning, required equipment, labor, transportation, testing, analytical monitoring, recordkeeping, and disposal of solidified waste at an approved landfill. The contractor must also accept eligible non-hazardous liquid waste from private-sector generators in Sedgwick County. The bid includes treatment and disposal pricing and a separate per-load pickup charge for approximately 20 estimated annual loads from Sewage Treatment Plant 2. The contractor must comply with applicable disposal regulations, obtain required permits and authorization numbers, provide quarterly analytical results for private-sector waste, and maintain facility access during specified weekday hours. Award will be based on the lowest and best total net bid. The contract term is one year with two one-year renewal options by mutual agreement.
